Ty Jones


Ty Jones has been coaching for an astonishing 10 years. He’s passionate about improving people’s quality of life. "I believe deeply in the idea that we improve through struggle," he says. "Pain for the sake of pain is not productive. But pain with a purpose makes us better. Things that are hard, yet move us toward a goal, not only help us achieve the goal, but change us while on the journey. Quality of life rarely means being comfortable. Because while we all seek comfort, it's discomfort that more often fulfills us."

Ty has been involved in some type of sport most of his life, and he discovered CrossFit in 2007 while participating in a health and fitness challenge at work. "I had never seen very good results in the gym that translated directly into success in sport," he says. "When I tried doing a few WODs, I saw immediate gains on the volleyball court. It was fun, challenging, and it worked!"
